Defender® Filter Media Facts:

Defender® is intended to filter indoor air to reduce micro-

particles as small as 0.1 micron in size, including dust, pollen, smoke, dust mites, dust mite allergens, cockroach allergens, mold spores, and pet allergens.

Defender® is capable of removing certain types of bacteria to  an efficiency of 99.999%.

The media certification is per EN 1822-3, which is the most recent standard published for testing of HEPA and ULPA filters.

The media manufacturer, Lydall Technical Media, provides FGI  certification data with each lot and roll of filter media (per EN 1822-3).
